This correspondence course provides instruction in the United States Public Land Survey System. The course teaches principles and concepts needed in the practice of surveying and mapping, The course is based on Chapter 5 (Restoration of Lost or Obliterated Corners) of the U.S. Department of the Interior publication by the Bureau of Land Management entitled "Manual of Surveying Instructions 1973".  (2 Hrs. Attention:  This course will be discontinued as of April 15th 2025.  Answer sheets received after April 15th will not be graded.  Florida Surveyors and mappers and Florida Engineers attempting to get con. ed. credit for license renewal for the 2023-2025 license renewal cycle must return their answer sheet with a passing grade of 70% before February 26th 2025.  Answer sheets received after February 26th will be graded and processed for con. ed. credit for the 2025-2027 license renewal cycle.  Answers sheets for this course will not be processed if recieved after April 15th 2025.
