7440 Introduction to Wetland Delineation

Introduction to Wetland Delineation is a six-hour course on the basics of wetland delineation.  The course is designed to address the current trend in land development regulations toward stricter protection of the environment. In order to advise and protect his clients it is imperative that today’s surveying and mapping professional be able to identify elements within nature, which trigger environmental regulation.  Wetlands are such an element.  This course is an introductory level course which covers the basics of wetland identification and delineation used by the State of Florida and the Federal Government in enforcing their jurisdiction in the protection of wetland areas.  (60 page with lots of illustrations / 20 multiple choice questions)

Attention:  This course will be discontinued as of April 15th 2025.  Answer sheets received after April 15th will not be graded.  Florida Surveyors and mappers and Florida Engineers attempting to get con. ed. credit for license renewal for the 2023-2025 license renewal cycle must return their answer sheet with a passing grade of 70% before February 26th 2025.  Answer sheets received after February 26th will be graded and processed for con. ed. credit for the 2025-2027 license renewal cycle.  Answers sheets for this course will not be processed if recieved after April 15th 2025.
